In order to contribute to a truly sustainable island and community, with due consideration to global communities, we have considered the Jersey Performance Framework with a particular focus on ‘Sustainable Resources’ as well as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Environment
Our commitment to sustainability is evident in the BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating awarded to all International Finance Centre developments to date. In fact, one received an ‘Outstanding’ rating thanks to the holistic approach we took to reducing the development’s carbon footprint and water consumption.
Social
The GoJ’s Carbon Neutral Roadmap emphasises a ‘people-powered approach’. At JDC, we are focused on ensuring that our developments support this strategy. That means optimising design and specification to reduce embodied and in-built carbon, as well as to minimise energy and water consumption in our completed buildings.
